Built for Moses Payson in 1810

11 Rum Hill Road,  Bath, N.H.

Designed by the architect Alexander Parris

This 3-story mansion was designed for Moses Payson of Bath, NH by the architect Alexander Parris in 1810.

While the building has endured fire damage and years of neglect, it still bears the look of a Parris design.

Parris was a prominent architect-engineer in New England, designing many structures throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including the Nathan Appleton House in 1818, the Somerset Club in 1819, and most notably, Faneuil Hall Market (Quincy Market) in 1826.
